Our Prediction:

Chelsea will win

Watford – Chelsea Match Prediction | 03-11-2019 13:30

With Frank Lampards side continuing to shine on the road and still boosted by their shock victory in Holland last month, it is also hard to overlook their stellar record against Saturdays hosts. On paper, Chelsea should see this as a golden opportunity to extend their stay in the top-four and make an immediate return to winning ways. Bagging a 3-0 win when the two sides met back in May and also winning five of their last six matches against the Hornets, were backing an away victory for the former champions this weekend.

Over the years Watford have established themselves as a mid-table side and they are sitting in 10th position in the standings ahead of the penultimate game of the season. The visitors have little to play for in the Stamford Bridge clash and we do not believe that there is a big value in betting on the underdogs. A man to watch in the home team will be Eden Hazard, who will be on Real Madrids radar in the summer transfer window.

Now arguably the leading contender in the race to be hit with a Championship return come next summer, a huge part of their continued issues have come down to some glaring struggles in front of goal. Slumping to a 3-0 hammering the last time the two sides met back in May, they have also lost five of the last six matchups against the former champions. Starting with the hosts, crashing out of the EFL Cup thanks to a 2-0 loss away at fellow strugglers Everton in midweek, Watford are still drastically struggling to adjust to life under returning boss Quique Snchez Flores. Still the only Premier League outfit who are yet to record a top-flight victory in their opening 10 attempts, the Hornets already find themselves sat two points adrift at the foot of the table and four points off of safety. Once again drawing a blank on their travels on Tuesday night, Watford have failed to find the net in four of their previous five appearances and they have also recorded just a single strike in almost 500 minutes of action. Sadly for fans around Vicarage Road, they will also be more than aware of their continued issues against Saturdays guests.

Chelsea vs Watford Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

This has to go down as a must-win game for the Blues, who are desperate to book their place in the Champions League and we are positive that the hosts will fight tooth and nail against the Hornets. After sharing the spoils with Manchester United at Old Trafford, Chelsea will be aiming to return to retain their spot in top four with a win over Watford.

The Hornets made a slow start to the season, with the team collecting only five points from possible 30, but the game against Frank Lampards troops could be the turning point for the hosts. The Blues are on a four-game winning run in the Premier League ahead of Matchday 11, and we are positive that they are going to stick to their attacking style of play against Watford. In-form Chelsea take on rock-bottom Watford at Vicarage Road in what is expected to be a very entertaining game.

Hazard has scored 16 goals in the league this season and 11 have come at Stamford Bridge. Eden Hazard was only used from the bench in midweek, so the Belgian maestro will be well rested for this clash. Whats more, he has scored six goals in his last six Premier League games at home, so were backing him to get on the score-sheet here too.

Yet they remain at the foot of the table, and have accrued the fewest points of their past seven top-flight campaigns. (The last Premier League side to do so were Queens Park Rangers in 2012/13.)The Hornets have become harder to play against in the month since the Spanish coach returned to Vicarage Road, managing a few draws. Watford are facing an unwelcome first never before have Watford failed to win any of their opening 11 league matches.

This Week's Promos

The Blues are on a four-game winning run in the Premier League ahead of Matchday 11, and we are positive that they are going to stick to their attacking style of play against Watford. The Hornets made a slow start to the season, with the team collecting only five points from possible 30, but the game against Frank Lampards troops could be the turning point for the hosts. In-form Chelsea take on rock-bottom Watford at Vicarage Road in what is expected to be a very entertaining game.

Eden Hazard Scored both goals in the 2-1 win at Vicarage Road and has 19 goals and 13 assists in all competitions this season.Willian With Pedro generally preferred in the Europa League, the Brazilian is likely to be back on the wing for this match, where he could add to his eight goals and 14 assists this season.Gonzalo Higuain Scored in the draw with Burnley but the Argentine striker still has a lot to prove after failing to fully hit the highs expected since his January arrival.

Another success for the coachs man-management has been the rekindling of Michy Batshuayi. The Batman has also scored in each of his three top-flight matches against Watford, netting four in total more than against any other team in the Premier League. The Belgians midweek wonder strike against United was his fifth goal in eight appearances, which compares very favourably to the 24 in 61 over his Blues career.

Winning seven of their last eight matches across all formats, their youthful squad has seen them gain a long list of admirers. As for the visitors, although Chelsea may have seen Manchester United end their EFL Cup dreams on Wednesday night, new Blues boss Frank Lampard has a string of positives to take away heading into November. With the mood in their camp the highest it has been since appointing the former England midfielder over the summer, Chelsea should be confident of making an immediate return to winning ways this weekend. Bagging back-to-back European victories, including a 1-0 win away at last years semi-finalists Ajax, the Blues have now won each of their last six matches away from Stamford Bridge. With the former Derby boss having his sights firmly set on securing another campaign of Champions League football in the bag come May, the former Premier League champions currently hold a four-point buffer from dropping out of the top-four. Along with continuing to shine in the final third, there is no doubt that Lampard will be most impressed by his sides form outside of West London.

Premier League fixtures

Given Watford shaky defence, we believe that there is a significant value in betting on the Blues, who are eyeing a top-four finish. It has to be noted that the Hornets have yet to record a win in the 2019/2020 season. Christian Pulisic, who impressed in the 4-2 win over Burnley, is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders.
